The splash guard assembly used in the bowl of your Kenwood Cooking Chef processor consists of 2 parts: the Kenwood KCC9040 Cooking Chef Heat Shield and the anti-splash lid.

The Kenwood KCC9040 Cooking Chef Heat Shield must be installed during the cooking process, otherwise the mixer will not work and error code E:03 will be displayed. The Kenwood KCC9040 Cooking Chef Heat Shield protects the mixer head from steam generated during the cooking process.

It can be installed not only during cooking but also when performing other operations if required. The Kenwood KCC9040 Cooking Chef Heat Protection Shield, when installed with the anti-splash cover, can be used when mixing light ingredients such as flour and powdered sugar, or when cooking ingredients that need to retain moisture in the container.

The anti-splash cover should not be fitted to the bowl unless used with the Kenwood KCC9040 Cooking Chef Heat Shield.
